VOLUMIO HELP REQUEST TEMPLATE
To receive help, you must provide clear and specific information. We cannot guess.
Do not write “latest version”. Always provide exact version numbers and device details.
Screenshots of the System Information page are not sufficient. Type the version number in your report.
Language rule
All posts must be written in English. Do not post in your native language and expect others to translate for you. If you can use an online translator to write your message in English, then do so. Messages not in English may be ignored.
Start your post with:
“I am having an issue with: __________________________”
Then provide the following information:
- Device model and storage type (SD card, SSD, USB, etc.)
- Exact Volumio version (example: 3.456)
- Log link from your device (see: How to send a log link for a bug report?)
- What happened, what you expected, and how the issue can be reproduced
If your report is related to x86/amd64, check this community thread for the additional details.
If your report is related to Raspberry Pi, identify your exact Raspberry Pi device.
If your issue involves hardware, also provide:
- Full identification of the device (datasheet, product page, or supplier/manufacturer link)
- Photos of the hardware (top and bottom), showing PCB silkscreen markings, version numbers, and labels
- Details of what is connected to what, and how (USB hub, GPIO pins, power source, etc.)
Reports missing this information will likely be ignored.
Manners
Be polite and respectful. Replies may take time because everyone here has work, family, and other commitments. Patience is expected.
Response
If you find a solution, post it so others can benefit from it as well.
