Hello everyone,
First of all, thanks for the great plugin.
Everything works, but there is a problem in displaying the remaining playback time.
If I run the playlist from the volumio web interface, everything is displayed more o less normally.
But as soon as I try to launch a playlist from a third-party application, like BubbleUPnP, strange things start to happen.
The remaining time counter does not respond to track changes. After the track ends, the counter stops. If I restart the plugin in the middle of a track, it starts counting down from the beginning of the track.
Looks like seek data is not synchronized between the plugin and the Volumio interface.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
Unfortunately, there is incorrect data in meters.txt and spectrum.txt. Scaling is correct, but Meters+Spectrum - will not work. Here are the correct settings: 1920x480 - 24NEW!
I just discovered Volumio and Peppymeter Screensaver and love it so far. I am hoping someone can help me with trying to figure something out with my setup. I using a 1920×1080 display but Volumio always reverts to 1280×720. I tried to force 1080p but Peppymeter starts acting up and doesn’t display everything properly. I used a YouTube video to help me with installation from Andy Yong. His setup had a custom 1280×720 folder that helped me get Peppymeter Screensaver to even work. Now after some searching I am finding out that there is no skins for 1280×720. I would love to add more skins and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks!!
Raspberry Pi 3B+ 1g
Volumio version 3.785
Peppymeter Screensaver 2.2.1
Yes, after changing the user config file to force 1080 and changing to 1920x1080 template afterwards. The screen would display correctly, but song information, graphic equalizer and vu meters would display only sometimes or not at all. But everything works perfectly in 1280×720.
Thank you that worked. I had to shut down my home assistant and use the pi 4 that it was running it, to test out if the Pi 3B+ I first started out with was actually able to run Peppymeter Screensaver properly. It was not cutting it. Ordered a Pi 5 for my final project. Again thanks for helping me figure this out.
I have issue with the Spotify plugin and Peppy…well it does not work.
Radio plugin and the YouTube plugins work.
Spotify plugin works with USBDAC but does not work with the DAC hat.
Rpi is 5.
Volumio 3.785
PeppyMeter Screesaver 2.2.1
Spotify 4.1.3
Ok…quiting with Volumio.
Everytime starting up, I have to adjust volume options from software to none and vice versa for volume controle to work.
Spotify Connect doesnt work when Peppymeter is enabled.
When playing internet radio station and I want to switch to Spotify, its not working…
I have to start up again…
I have all the latest versions installed/upgraded…
I use a Hifiberry Dac and used HifiberryOS, but switched to Volumio for the UserInterface, because HifiBerryOS is boring.
I’m going to switch back, because it just doesnt do it for me…bad software and hardly any feedback from this forum…
Wish me luck…(justkidding😉)
Check in /boot/config.txt if there are no double entries for your DAC.
Peppy is not an official plugin, hence you need to download and install it manually. Blaming Volumio for this doesn’t make much sense.
And hardly feedback… please explain. Your last question was regarding an update for Peppy.

First of all: big thanks to the creator(s) of this great plugin!
I successfully installed the peppymeter plugin, which works great but is reacts very slow on my rpi3b+ with 1gb of ram.
Changing the template when I play a song doesn’t work, I have to stop the song, change to for example webradio to change the screensaver.
Or is this normal behavior?
Also the VU meters are not in sync with the music, I doesn’t expect 100% accurancy but now there is several seconds out of sync.
Is this because I’m using a rpi3?
Can I expect better performance with a rpi5? Or a rpi4?
What are the recommended hardware?
I’m only using the touch plugin, peppymeter, now playing and the spotify plugin.
