X86 Hardware issues (Graphics, WiFi, Onboard Sound, external DACs, Disks, BIOS/UEFI Boot problems etc.)

Well, this is one of the reasons why I have started a beta program for x86, using the lastest 6.1.y LTS kernel version and corresponding firmware.

There are several compatibility issues with your setup, due to new or updated versions of hardware components.

Starting with your Bluetooth interface, this is a serious problem, it is obviously not supported in kernel 5.10, but worse: it completely clogs up your log. Is this a usb module? Which one? There is much better BT support in kernel 6.1.y

Wifi 6E is the next issue, support for it was only introduced in kernel 5.11 (or was it 5.12?), our current x86 images are built on kernel 5.10, there is nothing I can do about it. See further below.

As for the Marvell ethernet controller, same story, kernel 5.10 does not recognize the device.

Same for the graphics card, Intel 5555 is not fully supported by the Intel i915 driver in kernel 5.10.
But this does not necessarily have to be an issue for Volumio, did it display the UI?

Current Volumio versions won’t run on your hardware without workarounds and I cannot do anything to solve it for you with the current kernel.
If you can, remove the BT module. In case you can’t remove BT, then you have a system which attempts to load the BT driver/firmware 2 times a second, no idea what impact that will have on your performance.

For wireless you could use a usb dongle, for eth you already have the Apple (asix) module as a workaround.

But there is something else you can try and help us at the same time.
There is a thread about the beta versions with kernel 6.1.y
In my last post I included a link to the version I built last week.
Try it please, so we can see how far you get with that.
