Does not boot on rpi 5 2gb
Hey @11128,
Since I do not have issues with booting Raspberry Pi 5 2GB (BCM2712 D0) there must be some other âactorâ playing a role here.
Please describe your flashing process or OTA steps, spare no details.
Kind Regards,
Flashed via raspberry pi imager (OTA was not visible)
No specific changes in imager setup
32gb netac microsd card
3.758 boots and works without problems on the exact same setup
Topping E70 Velvet dac
Hey @11128,
In your http://192.168.1.17/dev url enable test mode and use OTA.
BTW - your SBC ee-prom version is from June 2024. There are known issues with ee-prom prior September 2024 preventing from boot.
Kind Regards,
Okay, Iâll try OTA later today
Is it possible to update eeprom? Is it necessary?
Hey @11128,
If the SBC works, it works. However rPi5 2GB is âfreshly mintedâ and has it own quirks addressed with firmware update.
We have a detailed community thread discussing the steps:
Kind Regards,
v3.765
Updated kernel to version 6.6.56. List of changes is substantial and you can inspect the changes here:
Kind Regards,
there is something strange going on i updated to v3.765.
edit: already seen in the beginning post:
added dtoverlay=gpio-ir,gpio_pin=xxx and problem gone.
I donât know if this has come up here somewhere yet.
we already know that the rotary encoder ll is inactive but it does work.
but the strange thing is as soon as I turn on the IR remote controller plugin, the rotary encoder ll plugin jumps from inactive to on.
raspberry pi5 4 gb.
3.765 does not boot on rpi 5 2gb even with latest eeprom (23/09/2024)
Did you flash with Raspberry Pi Imager and unzipped the downloaded image form Volumio and burned the *.img file?
Hey @11128,
I wonder - what do you have connected to the SBC? Can you make a list irrespective of how insignificant it may seem?
Kind Regards,
Only DAC - topping E70 Velvet
I opened .zip directly with raspberry pi imager
Just as I did with 3.758
Hey @11128,
Is there any visual feedback on the LED next to the power button? Any timed flash sequence?
Kind Regards,
