Here to give my 2 cents to the forum.
I was struggling how to access to a USB drive connected to my RPI 4 with Volumio.
After reading some treads (Mount Volumio across network to Mac), I learned that the USB connected disk has to be formatted with Mac OS Extended (Non-Journaled). I used extFS for Mac, as recommended.
When the Drive is formated, simply the permissions have to be changed for everyone and all worked perfect.
My problem was, that after a time sometimes it got corrupted and even with the same settings it stoped working. The only solution was to reformat the drive and copy the files again to the SSD.
I just learned today a simple trick:
-Plug the drive to the Mac
-Run Disk Utility First aid
-Redone the privileges
and it worked again. So I don’t need to reformat the disk.
