[PLUGIN] Touch Display

Ok, fair enough.
Wish I’d known this when I started.

Why then is there an "Upgrade"option offered?

for stable version only.
I agree, not clear if you enable beta. But this is for advanced users…

I am trying to get a Waveshare 10.4 screen running on my volumio. The touchscreen plug in fails

What is your Pi model and which Volumio version are you running?

Hi volumio 3.742 on a raspberry pi 4 B from 2018

Please make sure date and time of your system are correctly set (Date Time issues rPi4). Then try to install the Touch Display plugin again.

this one :wink:

Checked time and date. its correct. still does not install

Pisichen Touchscreen HDMI 7,8 Zoll HD 1280 x 400P

Hello everyone; I use the HDMI TFT Touch mentioned in the subject line on my Raspberry Pi4; unfortunately I can’t control the display via HDMI with Volumio Touch Plugin;
/boot/userconfig.txt

hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_cvt=1280 400 60 6 0 0 0

Does anyone have an idea what else I could do, thanks in advance

Do you see the boot logo and cmd prompt?

Yes I do . I could log in and check the time

hello; I have this 7.8" HDMI touch display and can’t get it to work with Volumio; I’m asking for userconfig tips; thanks in advance

Which Pi model are you using?

hi gvolt; i`m using Rp4 with audiosonic sabre DAC

here are some config files:

thanks in advance for your help

Please try if adding

dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d-pi

to “/boot/userconfig.txt” helps.

Thanks for the hint; unfortunately the entry/command line did not bring any success…

Does the display look different with dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d-pi?

Regarding your previous entries in “/boot/userconfig.txt”:

Did you set framebuffer_width=1024 on purpose or should it be framebuffer_width=1280?

After dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d-pi didn’t help I suggest to remove hdmi_timings=400 0 100 10 140 1280 10 20 20 2 0 0 0 60 0 43000000 3.

Thanks for the hint at framebuffers…

I have now commented out the hdmi_timings, unfortunately this fashion resulted in this screen…

You might try the “hdmi_timings” line alternatively to “hdmi_cvt”.

BTW: Where are the values you are using with “hdmi_timings” from?

I’ll try these parameters as well;
I got the settings for hdmi timings from the notes for waveshere 7.9" display because on the dealer page "compatible with Raspberry Pi (waveshare) is/was noted, otherwise unfortunately no info about display except 1280x400 HDMI ISP model available
