Just seeing this now. Did you create the file yourself? All files I tested with are from the official Peppy_Template github repository

And all of them are 1 level deep. It follows a very strict folder structure and file naming conventions. Please refer to the repo for guidance.

Yep my error. I extracted from the zip once I downloaded and that by default creates a higher level folder of the same name so for example you get

Had to uninstall the plugin - it stopped responding to touch on my 7" pi touchscreen.

The plugin doesn’t change anything in that regard, unless you have Kiosk mode enabled on the Stylish Player plugin.

Were you able to reinstall the latest version and maybe reboot the Pi and try again?

Yesterday everything worked, but today, when the songs end, the kHz-bit-kbps number doesn’t change. It only works when I manually change songs. Restarting, etc. doesn’t help.

I will look into it, as far as I know that wasn’t changed at all. Could be Volumio or your service (Tidal / Qobuz etc)? How are you listening to the songs and what service?

Just tried Tidal / Qobuz / Spotify / Local Flac all work perfectly.

Tidal launched directly in Volumio

So did I.

The 829kbps from the old track remains. It changes when I fast-forward a 947kbps track, and it only changes when I manually switch. It doesn’t change when the track ends on its own.

It’s coming from Volumio pushState bitrate property and changes, with some random value, every time I skip Qobuz or Tidal tracks.

@balbuze any idea why? I can provide logs if needed. Could this be coming from the service provider?

This is a bug in Volumio, it’s in their backlog to resolve it.

1.1.81

Added Layout Designer

  • Best for small screens where you need precise control on what goes where
  • Create one or more layouts for your target screen resolution.
  • Split cells into rows or columns to create layout, drag borders to resize cells
  • Right click empty cell to add 1 item per cell. Align items inside cells as needed.
  • Plugin will automatically apply the default layout for your screen resolution
  • Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to cycle between layouts matching your resolution.
  • Best used with custom font sizes for precise control.

if only it were possible to lower the song progress bar marked in the photo below as my white line :metal:

Are you using custom layout? If so send me a screenshot of the layout.

Show Player Controls - I don’t use this on the screen, only on my tablet, so I have it disabled. I’d like a track progress bar in the middle or even at the very bottom.
I don’t have the volume turned on in Volumio either, I have the Volumio connected to the DAC and the DAC connected to the amplifier and that’s where I adjust the volume

Use the new Layout designer (latest version 1.1.82)

Create a new layout 1325X800 (set as ★ Default)

Set Use Custom Layouts = ON setting also

Make this layout for your screen (you can resize cell by dragging the border)

Font size (smaller bitrate)

You will get this
