PeppySpectrum - The plugin!

FusionDsp is enabled
Multi room is enabled
Software volume is enabled…
Disable themone by one to see if better

Stopped multiroom, no change
Stopped DSP, no change
Stopped software volume, spectrum started then run 5 seconds then stops

when stop the now playing, spectrum is displayed 5 seconds then switches to now playing, spectrum deseappers

When start the now playing, spectrum is displayed 5 seconds then switches to the normal screen, spectrum deseappers

additional test:
1- I activated DSP then the background of spectrum displayed, no song.
2- DSP off, Software volume, spectrum on, the background of spectrum displayed, no sound.

I have the vu with peppymeter on one display, and the user interface on the other

here is a short video about my DiY Dac & Streamer…which runs like a power tank completely on LifePO4 batteries…
And everything packed in two cases

I afford myself to answer in place of Aiello, as this PCB is the help I was talking about. So I designed it a few years ago (see my post : My high-end streamer), and Aiello contacted me a few months ago to get help in this. In fact, this PCB is here mainly to help on the overall assembly. No huge electronic on it, it’s just here to avoid many wire between the different board I decided to integrate, and make something (almost) clean.

HI @balbuze is ther any chance to have spectrum working on my setting. I sent you the video to show what happends. At this moment I inactived it as it stay display one second.

Hope I would be able to test it.

Hello!
New version for the plugin!
Now support custom folder and resolution.
Put your skins in the shared folder

/data/INTERNAL/PeppySpectrum/Templates

With the naming convention for folders:

myspectrum(widthxheiight)
ex wood(800x480)

size will be automatically set.
@Gelo5 already created nice spectrum!

I installed the plugin, see above the sequence of the process, then reboot volumio.
Here is the setting screen I have. the spectrum is not displayed.

Remove old plugin.
Download the last version in /data/INTERNAL

cd ps
volumio plugin install
cd ..
rm -Rf ps

reboot
You don’t have to create the Templates folder. Just drop spectrum unzipped folder in it like

/Templates/myspectrum(800x600)

Another method - use e.g. Fillezilla

1. Physically erase Peppyspectrum from (/data/plugins/user_interface/peppymeter and /data/INTERNAL/PeppySpectrum
2. Unpack peppyspectrum.zip on your computer
3. Create a Peppyspectrum folder in /home/volumio and copy the unpacked folder
4. Go to home/volumio/peppyspectrum via SSH and use the command
   volumio plugin install.
   End

Now unzip the skins folder (on your computer) and move the entire folder to: /data/INTERNAL/PeppySpectrum/Templates
