Please remove previous version first and reboot as running update from the plugin page causes V3.0.4 to fail to login.

I am still getting OAuth errors when trying to use the Volumio UI.

When I reboot device, and immediately go to spotify app, select the device, and then play something (queue has been cleared), nothing plays
It does load that track into the Volumio IO, and the attached screen, however it doesnāt actually play

I restarted, cleared queues everywhere, and tried again, same result. It seems to play for 0.4 seconds and then pause. http://logs.volumio.org/volumio/WLagwKz.html

I do see that when you use Spotify connect, it start skipping again.
Did you uninstall V3.03 and reboot before installing V3.0.4?

I did uninstall 3.0.3, rebooted and installed 3.0.4 after direct updating failed.
I then Enabled, entered credentials and pressed the āSpotify Loginā button, which seems OK, no errors there.
However, I am still getting the OAuth error when clicking Spotify from the left menu.

yeah, got the same issue now on my 2nd rPi.
Asfar as I understood it, Volumio is hitting Spotify to often, causing a time-out, hence the Bad OAuth or API rate limit error.
There is a work around, but @volumio replied itās not possible.

I also uninstalled, restarted, installed new version, then restarted againā¦
This new version should not hit Apis so hard, so as soon as enough people update to this new version, the issue will be hopefully solved.
In case thatās not true, then we will be recompile vollibrespot with an alternative api key, so those who do update wonāt have such issue

Today, one player is having issues.

@volumio Are you sure itās that? I was trying at various times of day, including when the US is asleep, when Europe is asleepā¦ and I get it with every single clickā¦ I donāt even get one successā¦ seems the odds would be (if itās rate limiting), that I would get 1 success, and this didnāt happen at all with 3.0.3, did the number of users suddenly jump in the last 2 days?

However is anyone able to play from the Spotify app? I am not, which was working in previous version, so now no working method to play Spotify tracks. Most of the reports are about the Volumio UI at the momentā¦
Spotify app on PC ā connect to Volumio is possible for me
(but sudden Volume changes still appear)

(uninstall and install 3.0.3 if you need UI function)

Josh, I am starting to get some hints on why you have your volume act funny.
2 questions that will help me:
- do you know which plugin uses the process usr/local/bin/admutd.py?
- you have piano dac plus, which has a unique volume implementation. Can you use audio jack out and report if this issue persists?

i removed admutd.py (it is the only modification)
other users also reported the volume behaviour
