Love the new class D clock. where is it connected to?
It’s connected via an Ian FifoPiQ7ll and an Ian SinePi.
In addition, I also have a ReclockPi on top, whose mclk 2 goes to the TransportPi mk2.
There is a difference in sound with the standard clocks and neutron star.
I am also big fan of the Neutron stars. Use them for DACs etc, but did not change the PI clock as such yet.
I haven’t used Volumio on this streamer DAC in a long time.
I’ve also built in a lot of extras, such as an Ian Canada DDC, 2x i²s over HDMI in and output and a 7.9-inch HDMI touchscreen. Everything works fine, except for a very long boot time with a Raspberry Pi 3…but that shouldn’t spoil the fun.
Try using a very fast microSD card (Samsung Evo Plus or Pro Plus). It helps a bit. Volumio’s slow startup was also annoying me.

I tested with an RPi3B+. I switched from SanDisk Ultra XDHC to Samsung 128GB EVO Plus 2. It made no difference. Boot time ~175s with Volumio4. More details @ Volumio 4 Feedback Thread - #226 by AndrewHeard. Please no flames, I’m simply reporting my experience. I’m not complaining.

I want to connect a dual PCM1794A to an Ian Canada FIFOpi MA module. It seems to me that this is the hardware you implemented in the Lumin S1 enclosure in May 2025!
The I2S/clock and play LEDs are lighting up, but I’m not getting any sound output.
I have the Volumio settings set to 24/192, which matches the chip specifications. I’m using a Pi5, if that helps. All power supplies are working fine, and the DAC works perfectly with a Bluetooth module.
Did you make any changes to the clock or anything else? I’m really stumped!

I don’t have that PCM 1794A DAC anymore, but you need to install FusionDSP and upsample to, I think, 24-bit/192000 kHz in FusionDSP and not in volumio settings.
And I believe I had to select Hifiberry DAC Plus Pro for the Pi 5 back then.
I don’t remember if I chose hardware or software for the DAC, just giving it a try.
my latest creation, a Ian Canada TransportPi AES and FifoPiMa, Sparkos Voltage Regulator on both 3.3V inputs, everything built into a Marantz case.
with 7.9 inch HDMI screen, infrared, activity LED, safe power off button.
For the first setup, I made good use of the Pi screen setup plugin; it works perfectly.
