I don’t have that PCM 1794A DAC anymore, but you need to install FusionDSP and upsample to, I think, 24-bit/192000 kHz in FusionDSP and not in volumio settings. And I believe I had to select Hifiberry DAC Plus Pro for the Pi 5 back then. I don’t remember if I chose hardware or software for the DAC, just giving it a try.
