no you only need to connect 3.3 volts, ground and data to gpio 24, of course this may not be used by another function.
I always have it set to gpio 25 by default.
if it doesn’t work try changing the pull-up/down settings and see if it works now and active state off the input.
make sure you use the correct gpio pin configuration.
1 post is enough to get an answer
Volumio version 3.324
I set the GPIO pin to gpio24
I have some IR sensor
ground
middle pin Volt
s pin signal out.
So i connect all three jumper wire and connected them to 3.3v pin/ ground pin/ gpio24 pi that is mart in the snapshot

[GPIO-Pi4]
So, today, a booted up the player and grabbed the JustBoom remote which i have selected on Volumio and i tried but nothing happed when hitting the buttons on the remote
I have about the same problem. first, i went over here to the GPIO configurations
[ir]
Ihave a JustBoom IR Remote and set the IR Remote configuration to the JustBoom IR Remote and scrolled on down to GPIO configuration and set the GPIO to 24.
[GPIO-Pi4]
and connected the Jumper wires to 3.3v/ GPIO24/ Ground.
I connected the other end of the wires to to the IR sensor Modular
[irsensor]
Ground/ middle VCC or power/ s Single out.
So i have the wires to their right pin
ground to ground
…
I have the Volumio going and it works, but still problems with the ol’ Ir sensor.
I have a good many of these here from amazon
(Universal IR Infrared Sensor Receiver Module)
First i set the GPIO plugin configuration after selecting JustBoom IR Remote that i have and went down to the GPIO configuration and set the gpio to pin 24 on the Pi 4
[ir]
Later after i did that, i took one of the IR Infrared Sensor Receiver Module https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087ZRD3LH/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_titl…
