X86 Hardware issues (Graphics, WiFi, Onboard Sound, external DACs, Disks, BIOS/UEFI Boot problems etc.)

thanks for your reply, I have some problems finding the requirement for the install.
To tell the trtuh, Rufus did make its way. Probably i have no more free space

and yes, no china , real 2gb. i will go for a 8 and try again just to be sure

ok, with a 4gb usb it did work.
Now a basic question: where i do find the output sound? Have i to use headphones output to ampli?
And more: i also have a bluetooth ampli, will i be able to send music via bluetooth?
Thanks in advance

Look at playback options:

On the BT request, not yet available. But keep following the forum.

it’s italian, but it’s the same.
I dont have the headphone jack option :frowning:

Did you look at the content of the drop down list of values under ā€œPeriferica Audioā€?
(the best Italian attempt of me, besides Pizza and tanta birra, per favore)

  it’s correct. May i sugggest birra FREDDA?? hot beer it’s not good…

Periferica audio and output device obviously are the same
I have no choice. Only Nvida HDA which stands for High Definition Audio. Gpu output?

Yeah thanks for the correction, only those English folks drink warm beer…
Please look at the opening post from gkkpch and provide the requested data.
This will help us to determine your hardware.

@Wheaten Thanks, seems to be a new configuration we did not cover yet.
@marcogiaguaro
It is really important to get the log from the requirements we posted in the opening post. It will show us what the ā€œHDA Nvidiaā€ configuration looks like, as you seem to be the first one reporting this.
Let us know in case of questions.

@Wheaten @gkkpch so i did.
But… i am waiting for the link since lunch time and it’s not yet ready.
In the meantime amazon did ring the door, and my 3.5 to rca cable was here, so i decided to try or die.
You must know that i have a Miaolai P8, hybrid amplifier with bluetooth and DAC.
So i tried the rear audio connector (by the way, ma ASrock mb has a 7.1 onboard) since the 2 connected speaker played the music.
And they did.
2 more problem: a pretty great background noise, and they dont work if connected at the front speakers ouput. I need the ā€œrearā€ speakers output
To come back at the HDA Nvidia it seems correct , or at least it’s the fastest way.
On the mb, as many has, there are HD audio, firewire and so on, perhaps being the standard connector the only activated, this is what he read.

I am wondering (total beginner…) i am outputting without a DAC.
WHERE shoud i have to put a dac, if i ll buy it?

You claim that the Miaolai P8 (unknown to me) has a DAC? Does this means it can be used as DAC?
If not.
You can use an USB DAC which will be connected to the USB port of the PC.

@Wheaten as i said i am a beginner.
I expected some digital output from the Volumio pc, but i get the analog from the speakers connector.
Well, Miaolai gets bluetooth input from the lcd projector (and this is why i bought it) and yes i think it has a dac.

"Product Description:
- M8 fever Hifi electron tube bluetooth digital amplifier,The amplifier uses TPA3116 core chip. The TPA3116 is D type amplifier IC.The max 1.2MHZ modulation frequency, large power output distortion is less than 0.1%(10W).the max support 50W+50W dual channel output.

But, what about leaving the miaolai and take a digital output (s/pdif for example) from the pc and ending to my Technics sc ch900?
It has DAT input and other optic fiber input , in the signal process unit, so i must assume it can manage digital input, isnt it?

i am a little confused about digital, analog and why to use a dac

Seems the DAC is only accessible via a BT Connection.
And make sure to provide correct info as you started with a Miaolai P8, now you’re giving the specs of a Miaolai M8.

Before digging any further, please provide the info what was requested from the opening post first.

In Basic a PC only has a line out, which normally is an ā€œacceptableā€ audio source, nothing more.
A amplifier can have a fully integrated DAC, which is accessible via an USB port, or partial like the M8 via BT.
So in your situation, you can opt for a External DAC, like the Topping E30. Here you connect the USB output from the PC to the USB input of the E30 and the Analog outputs of the E30 to the AMP.

But before investing make sure you have a clear understanding of what you try to accomplish.

Thanks for your reply.
Let me leave the miaolai alone…

I am deeply interested in the spdif audio from the pc to the tosslink of my technics now.

If it’s correct, spdif is digital output and the sound processor of my stereo has the dac also if it’s from the 90s, it seems.

I mean, optic fiber lead digital not analog isn’t it?

About the log :still waiting the link

You mingle different technologies.

But SDIF can be Coaxial or Optical. Both transport a digital signal.
The receiver needs to perform the conversion from Digital to Analog. In your case the technics.

I don’t have any info with regards to the DAT input, as this was back then intended for a Digital Audio Tape. You just need to try. As the technics has multiple Optical inputs.

Let’s just try to get a proper log, sofar we have no data about the pc this system is running on, no information regarding the DAC connection, no information on the HDA nvidia either. It remains guess work. Let’s get facts first.
So, how can we help to get the log link?

@gkkpch for some reasons , it says, again, Sending log report, please wait
But it doesnt

i ordered a usb to tosslink cable, just tryin

still no reply from the log :frowning:

hi!
from a ssh terminal, can you post what returns the command:
