Am I the only one that this plugin is broken for? Just like the graphic EQ, whenever I enable the plugin, the mixer type goes to "undefined"and I don’t get any sound. Even setting it to “none” doesn’t make a difference. Once I disable the plugin, it’s fine. I’ve reinstalled volumio and everything - I am using a Hifiberry Digi+.

never tested with Hifiberry Digi+…
Even if mixer settings goes to none after enabling the plugin, it should be ok, it still use the previously defined mixer. Do not try to change it.
steps are :
plugin disabled
configure and text your dac
enable the plugin
in plugin setting, change a value and save
play something
If no sound, reboot and test
Thank you for the quick reply - I have done that and no audio is played (same thing with the graphic EQ plugin). As soon as I uninstall the plugin, the sound comes back.
Are you sure that this is just a display error?
Very weird… What is your device? (RPI, x86, other?).
You confirm that you change nothing in this page once the plugin, right?
RPI… but I just did a fresh Volumio install, and now it’s fine! How strange!

I also can’t make it working together with my Generic I2S DAC. My issue is exactly the one you described.
what is the version of volumio you use?

i installed on a apple mini x86 and a Evo Dac Two, the installation went perfect but when I enable the plugin and i try to play a file nothing works. Do I make something wrong? Do you think I forget something?

Of course I tried several times. This morning even if I have disable the plugin it doeasn’t playback music so I uninstal it but I’d like to try to reinstall what do you think?

Can we have multiple profile presets? Sort of like the on/off for the parametric eq now only with saved profiles to choose between. I would like to create profiles depending on the source material and be able to switch between them.
I think I saw this mentioned earlier so if it’s on the list for development I’ll look forward to it.
If it’s not possible I’m still very pleased with the results as is. Thanks for all your work on this.
2.806 conflict with Parametric EQ plugin.
Since upgrading to 2.799 I’ve been having problems with the Parametric EQ plugin.
I was able to get things working on 2.802 but since the release of 2.806 I’ve been stuck.
Previously, after updating, I could disable the plugin/ reboot/ enable and save settings/ reboot and things would work.
Now with 2.806 even after that sequence I could not get sound with the plugin enabled.
Is there another trick I can try?
Is an update to the plugin in order?

Balbuze, like many Volumio users, I suffer of asymmetric hearing loss which means the two ears have different frequency response. Here is the difference between the left and right here. This was caused by too much shooting without ear protection. Left is lower than the right by the amount shown on the y axis.
I am unable to check out the parametric equalizer because the search plugin feature is not working right now and I understand they are working on it. Questions is- can the parametric equalizer be set up by channel? I would then use it to compensate for the asymmety between the two ears and be back in business. This I think would help a lot of people with defining a good center phantom image when their hearing is not symmetric. Perhaps it is already set up that way?

You can’t do that with the plugin parametric EQ or graphic EQ.
But you can use the plugin DSPforvolumio and set two different attenuation (one for left and one for right).

i’ve a volumio2 configuration with raspi2 and hi fi barry dac+.
I used this plugin with volumio2 until versione 2.6 then, lastly, i upgraded volumio to last version 2.8xxx and then i sterted to have issues with alsa volume and so on.
I launched journactl -f to monitor what happens and have same errors. Then start to read some volumio topics and discovered the issues tih the plugin.
So i removed the plugin and then i restart to have music volume.
It’s a great sin. I tihnk this plugin was very usefull and i’d like to ask you if there is some solution.
What do you suggest?

I do have the same issue like some other have reported: After installation (and of course reboot) there is no sound anymore. Whether I enable or disable the plugin makes no difference. I only could get the sound back by uninstalling it and rebooting the device. I do have a RP3B with Allo Boss and Allo Volt (packed on amplifier board) and using Volumio 2.834 (latest version).
