Or does it help to do the same hack as described for the simple equalizer (deactivate the DAC, reboot, then activate it again)?

I have rbpi2 with hifybarrydac+ and volumio 2.834
Installed the brutefir3 plugin, reboot. No sound. Disinstall, deactivarte and reactivate the dac no sound!
I had to manual disconnect the dac, reconecct and manually reboot.
Maybe my installation is wrong but it’s very strange
Hi there, I’ve just installed the plugin and have now lost all sound, even the startup sound has disappeared, and when I try to play a track I get 'failed to open ‘alsa’ failed to open ALSA device ‘softvolume’, no such file or directory. I’ve tried disabling, then uninstalling the plugin, no luck.

As I use Volumio mostly for everyday-listening at lower volumes, I would like to recreate a loudness function. Is there some kind of preset for that? Or which values do you recommend?

ps.: I also tried the simpleequal plugin, as it has a loudness preset, but it didn’t work properly and I got some weird behaviour (stopping playback with noise,…)

Your plugin is wonderful and it is that I searched for Volumio. I 'm not very expert in digital eq.
I would have in hifi stereo setup a sound a little bit more “warm” without give up the dynamic. I tried to lower high frequence (my loudspeakers arrive at 20000 hz and I forced your eq to arrive at 18000, in your experience, should be better modify middle frequence?If yes which frequences you advice to me? I don’t touch bass frequence because I have a good bass response.

Hi balbuze. I have three different DACs over usb, unfortunately this plugin doesn’t work with none of them. No sound.
Hi, does this plugin work with Volumio 3? I could successfully install the plugin on a RP4 using Volumio version 3.175. However, when I tried using the sliders to change the values it sometimes can work for some sliders but most times it does not.
This plugin DOES not work with Volumio 3.x.
There’s no more Dev or support.
See FusionDsp instead.
