Volumio native tidal vs tidal connect

Hi all,

Anyone tried to swap back and forth with Tidal connect to volumio and tidal in the native volumio app?
Whats your opion regard the sound quality here. Is it same same

2nd if tending to use the native volumio app with tidal account is it recommend to disable some of the plugin services i am not using for minimal “cpu” use

I don’t know if I am doing anything wrong, but in my case tidal connect is far better as it streams high res. The app goes max 16/44

I have set stream setting to hi-res in the volumio app setting when logged in to Tidal
It plays all kHz streams

But my question was what people think about the sound quality :blush:

Last time I compared Tidal app vs Volumio app for playing same song with same resolution, the Volumio app delivered better sound on my system…

I realize this is an older post but I had the same question. In my case the Vol app shows 16/44 but my DAC is showing it is running 192. It is upsampling? In Tidal Connect the DAC matches the resolution shown in the Tidal Connect App exactly.
