Hi,
finally I found a way to reproduce the crucial error that playback is not operating any more. Here is what I did:
- Volumiobuster-3.053-2021-03-06-x86_amd64.img on an x86 PC installed on the internal SSD.
- perform a “factory reset”
- allow “test mode” and “ssh” on the volumio.local/dev page
- login over ssh
- plug in an external HD with the music files
- copy the files to the SSD
cd /data/INTERNAL
cp -R /media/MUSIC/* .
- on the UI start an “update” of the music library (the copy process is still ongoing)
- change the output from SPDIF to HDMI and back
- login to TIDAL
- try to playback something (webradio or TIDAL)
-
The playback will show the green toasmessage in the upper right corner of the UI
-
The playback won’t start.
-
The button in the middle of the control pannes still shows the “START” icon instead of “PAUSE”.
Now the system is in kind of a deadlock.
- UI is working (local and web), Tidal login and TIDAL title search is working.
-
Change of output is no longer working (no toastmessage “successfully restarted player”)
-
Playback is not working
-
Building the local music lib is shown as “in progress” with the rotating arrows but there is no progress in the lib itself.
-
The MPD has given up (smx systemd[1]: mpd.service: Start operation timed out. Terminating.
) - see the last line of the following output:
volumio@smx:/data/INTERNAL$ cat /etc/asound.conf
pcm.!default {
type copy
slave.pcm "volumio"
}
pcm.volumio {
type copy
slave.pcm "volumioOutput"
}
# There is always a plug before the hardware to be safe
pcm.volumioOutput {
type plug
slave.pcm "volumioHw"
}
pcm.volumioHw {
type hw
card "PCH"
device 1
}
