Thanks guys, that’s wonderful!
For me, the upgrade to 3,694 worked without any problems on two systems.
Pi 2, Allo BOSS
Pi3, Allo DigiOne Signature

It works very well!
Hmm… I don’t know which one I enjoy more: listening to music or updating Volumio.
I’ll install the 3.694 update when I get home.
That’s why I have more devices, the bets is listen music while updating
Okay, here’s what happened…
OTA updated from 3.691 to 3.694…

Hello!
After a fresh new install on a SD card, the OTA update failed with the same message.
Also tried with an USB stick without success…
I’m giving up now. I flashed the 3.694 on the SD card and I’m listening to my music.
Well, we know what is happening, we still do not know why. If the same will happen with your setup in the future a full debugging from ground-up will be needed.
Kind Regards,
raspberry pi 4: 8GB USB stick updated from v3.691 to 3.694.
did not want to reboot automatically, turned it off and then performed an update but would not start again, turned it off again and then booted up properly and all oke.
Thank you for your feedback.
Our findings summary is here: Volumio 3 Beta test: New init - #186 by nerd
OTA on an x86 / amd64 machine did work.
But after the restart, MyVolumio was not active. Tidal was not visible as a source.

I had to wait a few minutes - then it worked without any action on my side.

strange somehow…
Thanks, I read it and will try something with the settings.
Good morning…I’m still testing, and beta v3.694 is working fine at the moment. Even overclocking the Raspi works… Except restarting & shutting down a USB stick & SSD.
Now the only thing missing from my Raspi 4 is the light sensor (BH1750) for adjusting the display brightness and the whole thing with the remote control “Flirc Skip 1s & Flirc USB receiver”. Let’s see if I can manage this…
Another question, and this is a serious one…how does Volumio work with Raspi with 64-bit & Bookworm? Is or will this ever be an issue?
Sunny greetings from Switzerland
Hey @Camelot631
Wolumio is the OS and ecosystem with large pull of connected devices, not a program atop of something. As such, maintains device base over a large number of various SBCs, not just a Raspberry Pi.
Roadmap:
Current release channel base → Buster
Upcoming release channel base → Bookworm
Kind Regards,
Hey @nerd
Thanks for the reply. I know what exactly “Volumio” is and where it can be used… after all, I don’t just have a RaspiPi at home…
I look forward to future versions of Volumio, also for testing.
Kind regards
Key improvements:
Both my Raspi 5s were updated via OTA without any problems
Hello ! Same cruel world here…
Tried to update OTA from 3.694 to 3.695. On a Pi4/8Gb with 128Gb SD card, local display attached.
It failed with the same message: Updating to the latest version on this system is unfortunately not possible.

As I’m a stubborn guy, I wil try with another SD card and tell you later
Welcome the attitude. I am puzzled with your OTA update hiccups.
Kind Regards,
For me, the upgrade to 3,695 worked also without any problems on two systems.

So, I tried with another 128Gb SD card. Same problem.
I stopped my Pi2 and tried with its 8Gb SD card in the Pi4. And… suspense… IT WORKED!
Maybe it’s not the place for that but on the screens after the first configuration the french translation for “Player controls (5 of 11)” should be “Contrôles du lecteur” not “Contrôles du joueur”.
