[Volumio 3.601] Upgrade from previous version to 3.601, rescan needed :-/

This is not the samba issue, your NAS connects correctly.
The problem with your installation is caused by mpd crashing, this means the database has not been saved.
We need further analysis and will keep you posted.

Thanks a lot for your kind answer. I’ll wait good news.
If you need more information for this issue, feel free to ask me. I’m happy to support you.

Other issues here. Even after the latest update.
Browsing in my NAS is extremely slow, web ui just crashes. Even after a reboot.
And when it crashes my player inst visible anymore in the app an Android.

Also when my library update is finished, I must reboot my player because of the same thing. Web ui extremely slow untill it crashes.
This was an issue before but I could live with it. Now it just happens more frequently. Logs are send last weekend.

Getting kinda tired of this I just want to listen to music. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Also note that the size of my NAS is 27GB instead of 12TB

Did an update of NAS - now everything is empty again. FFS :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
Back to Moode, sorry guys but as a premium user this is very annoying.

can try to execute:
sudo systemctl restart mpd

Thanks, I will have to try this this evening.

All of my players have this.
X86 and Rpi.
Nas shows up as NaN MB again

Nope, library is gone on all off my players.
Rescan does nothing.

Logs on all 4 players have been send.

If I install a previous version will this fix everything ?
Still have the img of a previous version somewhere…

Removed and added smb share again. No succes

Oh and if i attach a USB drive to one of my players, add this as a smb share on another player. This works. Just my NAS running on Ubuntu server doesnt.

so the new version (almost) fixed your problem?

I appreciate the help but other then my NAS smb not showing up as NaN it didn’t changed much to my experience.
Weird that it worked after the update to 3.611 en suddenly stopped working after a few days :man_shrugging:t2:

EDIT : Ok my bad. I updated my server and rebooted this afternoon. Forgot that my server doesnt auto mount my HDD.
It looks like this fixed it. Im running a rescan/update, ill let you know when its finished.

Ok tested on my other X86 player and it seems to work, i didnt lose my my library.
Thanks Darmur !

Ok, thanks for testing this fix… good news that the problem is gone.

the very same fix will be applied to RPi and other platforms

I have update to the test version 3.619, but now it shows me 18.85 TB as size and this even for a NAS which is not mounted !?

the fix is still not implemented on RPi

ah, ok, got it.

Even so, with version 3.611 the drives have been detected correct in my case.

In regard to this: Is there a page where one can see what has been changed from version to version?

For the official releases
