Hi All!
since two days I cannot connect to Volumio anymore with Spotify Connect. Version of plugin is 18/02/2018. Volumio is up to date to the last version 2.368.
From Spotify App when I try to connect to Volumio the app says “connecting…” then after a few seconds nothing happen.
Is there some way to see the logs?

Spotify Connect stopped working for me also.
This is happening on 3 different RPi’s.
Latest Volumio and latest volspotconnect 2.

Spotify just released a breaking update to their connect protocol in their new version of the Android and iOS apps. Should have an update for you all soon!

I have uninstalled the old volspotconnect plugin. But the latest volumio release doesn’t allow installation from zip files. How can I still install the old plugin?

Connect via ssh to volumio.
Download the plugin via wget
unzip ( unzip has to be installed via sudo apt-get unzip)
And then just: volumio plugin install
Maybe it would be nice if the old plugin will also be added to the official plugins.

No need to install unzip.
Use miniunzip instead, already installed.
For people who are willing to test with arm devices, ssh into your device and then:

mkdir ./volspotconnect2
miniunzip volspotconnect2.zip -d ./volspotconnect2

weird thing is that i have another raspberry pi 3 with libreelec where i have librespot running, which is working fine.
edit: seems the librespot plugin was updated already (maybe you already know this)

please, wait a little bit… In your log is see an old version of librespot. Are you installing it via ssh?

I had the same, but thought i installed the wrong plugin file, because the date of librespot wasn’t changed.
I downloaded the latest plugin from github (updated a few minutes before).

Do not install librespot ! It is done by the plugin

had to delete the ./volspotconnect2 dir because it already existed but now it works again
