It disappears when playing. e.g. when I select Volumio from Spotify on my phone, then start playing a track, eventually the playing will stop and I will see “devices available” in the Spotify app on my phone. I need to select Volumio again and the playing re-starts. Then the same happens, over & over …
Are there any logs or anything I should try to extract?
Just to give a feedback: My wife and I we are using 4 different devices (2 iPhones, 1 iPad, 1 MacBook) with two different accounts (Spotify family). In the last time it works really good. When music starts playing the music plays without any interruption. Sometimes the “remote-change” between devices is a bit bumpy. But if you give Spotify time to recognize on which device it plays the change works good. All in all a very good solution with little edges.
Just wanted to say thanks to the devs (or dev??) for this.
I did a clean install of the latest version of Volumio on my Pi with HiFi Berry Dac+ Pro.
This plugin works flawlessly right out of the box. Very happy 
Maybe I need to try as clean install also - which version are you using now?

I play a song from my computer but it semms that it do not update från the plugin. right now the songs plays but in spotify it looks like this
No buttons work and it’s the same on my phone iOS but I can click on a new song in a playlist and it plays.

Anyone got the same issue I don’t have any other spotify connect device to test with so it could be the client?
Humm. Today I met some tracks that seems to be played on android client, but no sound on volumio. The next track plays fine…

Unfortunately librespot used in the plugin does not allow it yet. I set a fix value at about 30% because the default was 100% and that was problematic if no mixer was used in volumio or set to loud.
Anyway, a work is being done to integrate this.

No it is not possible. As for the other Spotify plugin, you need a premium account or family. This limitation is not due to plugins but from Spotify that simply not allows it with free account. It is like asking for having no advertising with free account…
I was wondering this because some spotify connect feature also work with some device even with the free account. For example i use the spotify connect to select the songs of my android tv from my spotify phone app all without premium. Only the speakers devices (like the one created by the volumio plugin) require a spotify premium account for the connect features https://support.spotify.com/us/listen_everywhere/supported_connection_types/spotify-connect/ but all the others works with the free account too included the computers.
I saw in the main.py of the spotify-connect-web this row:
#Valid types are UNKNOWN, COMPUTER, TABLET, SMARTPHONE, SPEAKER, TV, AVR, STB and AUDIODONGLE ‘deviceType’: zeroconf_vars[‘deviceType’]
So I thought it might be just a configuration problem.

I got the same problem since today (or yesterday, can’t remember the last time it worked). When I play the new Kasabian, sounds come out, no problem. But when I play some other songs or album, e.g. Asgeir, I have no sound coming out of the pi. And when I wan’t to switch the song playing, it doesn’t work and Spotify Connect disconnects. Very strange.
I run the last version of your plugin and a Hifiberry Digi.

Should be fix in a future version.

i updated to the latest Volumio Version from Version 2.041 (Raspi 3).
Volspotconnect isnt working anymore 
It is inactive.
Before everything worked smooth.
I have a china clone of Hifiberry DAC Plus. Playing files from my shares works normally.
Even a complete new fresh install solves this issue.
Any hint for me?
Where can i download the old Version Volumio 2 Version 2.041?
I would like to try, if i can get it working with this i had before.
Any help is welcome.

the best way is to remove and re-install the plugin, not going back to an older version of volumio. Let me know. You can also try volspotconnect2
