SPDIF not working on ASUS TUF Gaming B760M + add SSD 2 for library (SOLVED)

Hi, i’m new to Volumio, i think it’s a great program.
However, i come here, to ask for your help.
I installed Volumio on a PC, with a board ASUS TUF Gaming B760M, which has an SPDIF output.
After installing Volumio, and choose SPDIF as main device output, and trying EVERY IEC958 option, it turns out still no sound.
Ok, uninstall Volumio, (because i thought that could be a motherboard problem) install Ubuntu Studio, and tried the SPDIF output on Ubuntu Studio (choose IEC958+analogue)…and everything was normal, no problem with the motherboard. This option is not available on Volumio.
So, return to Volumio, install it from scratch and again no sound on SPDIF.
The DAC on this motherboard is ALC887.

Can i get your help on this?

P.S. PROBLEM SOLVED…How i did it:

First, i had to enable ssh on volumio.
To enable ssh, i need to find out on what ip adress is volumio,
it’s pretty simple just see network on volumio.
So, in another PC i just write //ip_adress/ …and i’ll be controlling my volumio player.
Now, all i had to do was //ip_adress/dev, and i see SSH option (enable/disable) just enable it.

Then, open a terminal and SSH Volumio System…(I’m running KDE Neon)
ssh volumio@my_ip_adress
PASSWORD: volumio
Just write “alsamixer”, and i was prompted with alsamixer settings. Now, in alsamixer i have 6 positions with s/pdif, the s/pdif16 was off, showing MM.

I watched that s/pdif16 was off so all i need to do was hit the “m” key…boom…s/pdif working in a blink of an eye.
I dunno if i can post a photo, it was more simple.

Now, i need to make my music library into an SSD, let’s see.
P.S. Spent all afternoon around the SSD, but I’ve managed to do it…so, one SSD 1 is for Volumio, another one is for my music, i’m happy.

Hope this can help you.

Cheers
