Qobuz and Tidal - how about dealing with large music collections?

Recently got me a Rivo+.
One thing I did not expect at all is the really poor handling of large music collections with Qobuz and Tidal.
My main streaming service is Qobuz, and I use Tidal as a backup.

In Qobuz, I like to listen to my currently 1800+ and growing favourite tracks.
Volumio simply fails to play them. (Music → Qobuz → My Tracks → select “play” on the first track).
Putting these 1800 tracks into a playlist and transferring this playlist to Tidal kinda works, but is … really dumb.

Is my use case really so special? I mean… if you love music and like to tag your favourite tracks that the algorithms serve you, after some years you automatically end up with a four-digits list of favourites. No?

My 10+ years old Auralic streamer (which I planned to retire by the better-sounding Rivo+) has no issues at all dealing with my music collection, both Qobuz and Tidal work just fine.
And yes I already read that there are some 500-, 1000- or whatever limits per request imposed by Qobuz and Tidal… but why is my stone-age Auralic streamer having no issues with this? Hint: It uses some smart caching.

Therefore I ask myself: Is a remedy for this issue in the works, or can I realistically forget about it? I am seriously considering sending the Rivo+ back and getting refunded. Which would be a shame, because I have a strong feeling that the hardware is really good!

I was not even aware that in 2025 streamers could possibly have any problems dealing with largish playlists and music collections.

Best regards, Medon
