GPIO-Buttons 1.8.4
RPi 4 Model B Rev 1.4
IQaudIO DAC Plus Audio HAT
Volumio 4.021
I have a problem with a simple shut-down button connected between GPIO 16 and 3.3V
The plugin test mode has been set to âTRUEâ and the GPIO-Buttons plugin appears to have installed correctly. Enable Shutdown has been selected and the Pin set to 16
Not working thoughâŚ
I have been using exactly the same arrangement with Volumio 3.832 - in fact exactly the same hardware - with no problems.
Am I missing something - any suggestions?
Try a different GPIO like 22,13,5,6
I have tried the other GPIOs as you suggest, but no luck - by the way, GPIO 22 is used for MUTE on the IQAudio DAC+ HAT
Solved!
In version 4.021 the selected GPIO pin has to be grounded to cause a shutdown - this is the opposite to the way it works with version 3.832 where the pin taken high for a shutdown ![]()
Are there threads for specific plugins?
I get a âNo Resultsâ when trying to use Bandcamp
For bandcamp there is a specific plugin, but to keep thing organized, this topic was opened for V4.0xx
Autostart on V4 does not appear to be working. I have autostart plugin ver 4.0.4.
This is using my v4 test system comprised of an rpi3 and a touchscreen and a hifiberry dac.
For me, autostart is critcal and I would not move to v4 without this functionality.
Let me know what debug info you would like as it is setup permanetly on my V4 test system. thank-you
Have you played with the Delay (increase) as BW leans more on the resources then Buster?
Yes I have. V3 system runs well at 35,000 i boosted v4 system to 50,000 and no joy.
Iâll try going higher and report
Just installed it on rPi5 and it works without issues.
OK. I boosted it to 80,000 and it worked. So then i fine tuned it down to 65,000 before I get issues Gee thats one heck of a delay.
Yeah the rPi3 needs some time to to load BW and the touchscreen plugin.
Started from a fresh install of Volumio: 4.062 , and also tried upgrades from test update channel.
In all cases I have issues with the Touch Display Plugin and cannot get it working.
Here is the log :

I keep get errors like these :
Any hint ?
Installing a new 4.064, Raspberry Pi 5, NVMe 128Gb boot
Wired connection. Only Peppymeter Basic doesnât work; it doesnât boot completely. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but nothing works.
is there a solution? thanks
Hey @calogero69,
Thank you for reporting this issue with Peppymeter Basic on Volumio 4.064. However, I need more specific information to investigate what âdoesnât boot completelyâ actually means.
Required Information:
To properly investigate, I need the following details:
Log file - Submit log from http://volumio.local/dev and provide the link here
Exact symptoms - What does âdoesnât boot completelyâ mean?
Plugin configuration - What other plugins are installed besides Peppymeter Basic?
Baseline verification:
Context Note:
In your previous post about the Waveshare 11.9" display, you reported that Peppymeter Basic âworks perfectlyâ on Volumio 4.062. This suggests something changed between 4.062 and 4.064, or thereâs a difference in your configuration between the two installations.
Without logs and clear symptom descriptions, I cannot identify the root cause. Please provide the requested information so I can help you resolve this.

Kind Regards,
@nerd Youâre right, but unfortunately my English isnât very good with Google Translate. Iâll try to be clearer. The new version works and boots perfectly, and even listening to music is perfect.
My plugins are: Peppymeter Basic, Audiophonics Evo Sabre, Remote Pi, and Touch Display.
Everything works perfectly, except Peppymeter Basic. That is, the plugin is active, but the VU meters arenât displayed.
Iâll try to create a log file and post it.
Regarding the volume bootloader rotation, Iâll carefully read your note and appreciate the great work youâve done, even though it will be a bit difficult for me because Iâm not very experienced. Thanks.
