Same here, YT and YTM music fails to cast. Did the same: uninstall, reboot, install, reboot and configure without success. What did Google change this time?
Did you manage to fix it? Cast YouTube still doesn’t work for me 
Works for me again. But it takes 30-50 seconds to connect. Once it’s connected it seems to work perfect
