Updated Now Playing v0.7.3 Plugin demo in 1280 x 400 resolution now comes with bigger album art and fetches lyrics from LRCLIB for sychronized lyrics. Big thanks to @patrickkfkan for his continuous support and improvement.

“Now Playing” plugin by Patrickkfkan works well for me with PeppyMeter Screensaver on my Raspberry Pi! It’s a great way to enjoy my music visually and sing along.
Here’s a breakdown of what I’ve achieved:
No Need to Sacrifice: I can use both PeppyMeter Screensaver for the visual audio representation and the “Now Playing” plugin for lyrics on my smartphone or tablet or computer display.
Wide Lyric Coverage: The plugin seems to find lyrics for most well known songs I listen to, even though it might not be perfect.
Overall, it’s fantastic that I found a way to combine these tools and enhance my music listening experience! Enjoy using them together!
Can you use your own images for the Inactive screen background and if so, where do they need to be loaded to?

Another head scratcher…
With Now Playing configured and my Genius token working if I try to make any changes to the Fonts in the Text Styles section the only one that “takes” is Metadata - nothing else changes.
Changes to the Playback Buttons (size, etc.) also don’t take…
Title / Artist / Album colors apply to “Basic View”. I forgot why I didn’t apply them to “Info View”…

Is it possible to edit the Basic Now Playing view to “use” the space at top/bottom (red lines) below?
I was trying to move the playback bottoms to the bottom but the “margins” option seems to be hitting a limit.
Are there hidden/invisible elements I need to turn off to “open” these spaces?
Spoke too soon. Every combination of positive/negative values in margin section and it still hits an invisible barrier…
Get rid of the commas…

I can swear that I saw commas used in one of the info (!) popups somewhere and that it worked to a certain degree. But yes, this works and solves a huge issue for me.

Hello Guys since reinstalled Volumio with the latest Now Playing plugin I cannot adjust Song, Album, Artist etc. in the centre of the screen . Every informations are as sticked to the Album art. Latest Volumio and plugin. Waveshare display 1920x480. Any idea?
You can only adjust horizontal alignment of song / album / artist etc. in “Basic View”, not “Info View”. In “Info View”, you can only adjust alignment of lyrics.

Not at the moment. IMO the icons on the right would make a centered title look weird.

As I said, you can set alignment in “Basic View”. which is this:
OTOH this is the “Info View”, which you cannot set alignment (except for lyrics):
