I’ll answer myself. Folder navigation via the Internet works great in the Emby server. Unfortunately, there was no such plugin for Volumio. So I had to write it myself. For now, it has the most basic functionality and manual installation, but it works as I wanted. When I finish it, I’ll make it publicly available.

@Abagian is it an answer at my question for Emby ? as I’m not sure how it is relevant at my issue
