Is the plugin still supposed to work with Emby servers ? I can’t get it to connect at my Emby server

the plugin connects well at my emby server and that’s it, and on volumio I got an error stating it could not detect

I’ll answer myself. Folder navigation via the Internet works great in the Emby server. Unfortunately, there was no such plugin for Volumio. So I had to write it myself. For now, it has the most basic functionality and manual installation, but it works as I wanted. When I finish it, I’ll make it publicly available.

No, I just forwarded my message from another topick. It’s the answer for my own question there.
As to your question, I’m afraid Jellyfin and Emby are not compatible. I also started from trying to marry Jellyfin plugin and Emby server, with no success.

I’m running your Jellyfin v2.0.0 plugin on Volumio 4.005(Bookworm). I realized that in “Folder” view, folders that contain sub-folders does not display/list any songs. Only top-level folders that directly contains music files are listed. Is this something that can be added to your plugin? I thought it may have been just a Jellyfin server issue, because I have issues displaying songs from within sub-folders on my Jellyfin server webui as well.

I have been using the Symfonium Android app as a Jellyfin client. With Symfonium, I am able to browse through all levels of folders and sub-folders without a problem and see all songs. Is this a feature that can be added to your Jellyfin plugin?

Hello All, long time Jellyfin Plugin user with 2 custom builds (1 RP-4, 1 x86 tablet). The RP4 “updated” to v2.0.0 and now I can NOT access any music with eith of the 2 users I created in the server. The tablet (v 1.0.9) is fine and can access all the media. I get a “no results” error when I start the plugin. when I first add the server I do not get an error. I am still somewhat of a “noob” on the highly tecnical aspects of this and am not sure where the logs are located. Any help is much appreciated.

How to send a log link for a bug report?

Also what’s your Jellyfin server version? The plugin from v1.1.0 onwards uses a newer SDK version which might not be compatible with older server versions.
