Peppy-Spectrum 1.0.35
Spotify plugin 4.3.0 or 4.3.2(beta)
When playing spotify track, there is no sound and spectrum not work.
If you play local database music file, the spectrum works well.

Hi Seems indeed that Peppy_Spectrum is not working with Spotify.
When playing a track cat /tmp/peppy_spectrum_fifo stays empty.
It loads peppy’s background, but then it just stays blank.
Hey! On the same system, does peppymeter_basic work?
If yes, I could update the plugin with the same alsa path.
edit: works on my x86 device…
Need to check, one moment please. Testing on a rPi5.
Peppy_meter basic works with Spotify.

I can confirm that Peppy-meter-Basic works with Spotify on the RPi5.
Also, Peppy-Spectrum does not work with the YouTube 2 plugin.

Test Peppy-spectrum 1.0.38 with spotify, now there is sound, but the spectrum still black screen.

I use basic provided spectrum 800x480, S.1
test local music file, spotify, youtube, web radio,
it all shows 800x480 black window in the center,
with sound, no spectrum.

I see what happens.
My fault… In last stable version, a tweaked version of Peppyspectrum was used to fix the no spectrum issue.
In beta, Peppyspectrum is downloaded from GitHub without the tweak…
I can’t take care of that before the end of the week.
I you feel, you can:
Install last stable version.
Then from ash, copy the folder
cp -r /data/plugins/user_interface/peppyspectrum/Peppyspectrum /home/volumio
Remove the plugin.
Then install last beta.
And copy the previous saved foltin it.
Reboot and test…
It works, thank you !

I updated to beta v1.0.39 that includes last mod.
If ok for you, I’ll release as stable
