If you get a 5V power supply you can connect it directly to the Pi and the hard-disk, no need to use anything else.
many thank’s!
Hi Gerry,
I’m curious which Power management solution you are using. I’m looking for a button to control Power on/off on my DIY project but it’s difficult to find a way how to hook it up. Can you point me to where you found your solution?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gerry, do you know if you can get the case without PSU? Where?
Regards
Hi Daniel,
I think they sell it only with psu - sorry.

Hi,
special drivers are not necessary. Volumio works “out of the box.”
Here is the wiring diagram:

Hi Gerry
Sorry if this is silly question but I have the same Pi and DAC as you. Looking at your pictures it appears you only used the P5 header?
The diagram above refers to gpio 30 but the board only goes to 26.
Sorry for my confusion but could you clarify how to have connected the DAC to your Pi?
2020, Time for an Upgrade.
I took an modern PI 4 B 2GB with the new HifiBerry DAC2 Pro. The rear plate has to be modified.
Now my Volumio Streamer is up to Date again.
Gerry _222 Very well done Could you please share the schematic with me , I am From Australia.Thx. Peter
