Nerdy tinkerer here, I’d love to have a Volumio premium lifetime account as I hate ongoing fees but would like to support the product. For my use case I could use the free version or really just run a UpNp server on Rasbian but would like to build a system at home without fees.
I saw the lifetime accounts last went up this time last year and was wondering if that is yearly or just a one time thing or did I miss a window this year?
Hi!
Thank you for your interest in supporting Volumio and for considering a premium account! We appreciate your enthusiasm for building a home system without ongoing fees.
The Volumio Premium Lifetime subscription was offered as a limited-time promotion in the past, but it’s not a recurring yearly offer. Currently, this option is not available, and we can’t confirm when or if it will be offered again. In the meantime, if you’re looking to support Volumio and enjoy premium features, a monthly or annual subscription is a great way to help us continue developing and maintaining the platform.
Best Regards,
Volumio Support
Hello @volumio
I just bought a lifetime license . Now I am following the steps from the email but I do not understand why do I need to have money on my card when I try to subscribe , I already added the coupon code ?
Thanks
Hi @Lintbf this is how our payment provider Paddle works. Even when you add a coupon which makes the transaction free, they require to check that a valid card is used.
Step 1 . Bought life time , receive coupon code
Step 2. Select yearly plan , introduce coupon code and Has been charged by paddle with price per year … steps as provided in email …
@volumio@Marco_Melziade Thanks for fast reaction
I have observed that has been my mistake , when I have introduced the code I have eneterd only the number without word … Now I have add also the word and on payment page appears 0.00 EUR Now I am have life time account .

I would have stayed with Volumio had I had I gotten the license but Roon lifetime and RoPieee are doing the same thing so I reflashed my SD cards on my Pis
