Hardware that includes VolumioOS Premium (or its features)

Hey-

I’m currently running VolumioOS with Premium membership on my Raspberry Pi. I mainly use it to access via Tidal Connect.

Now my Pi stopped to work, and I’m thinking to replace my Pi/DAC combination with a streaming device. As I like the features of VolumioOS: Is there a list of hardware with VolumioOS pre-installed other than Volumio’s own hardware products?

I’ve read about a Bladelius Amp and the MiniDSP SHD. But are there others as well? (pricewise probably more in the Primo range or below)

Thanks!!

Don’t have an answer for your question, but just curious…it sounds like you have crossed “Volumio’s own hardware products” off your list for consideration. I would be interested in what led you to that decision.

Oh, no, I don’t rule them out at all! But they are pretty easy to find on the Volumio website  So, I was asking for other products which come with Volumio software/OS to have a more comprehensive list

Makes sense. I bought the Rivo + recently as an upgrade to my Bluesound Node 2i streamer. I’ve been very pleased with it. Volumio OS is not as stable or polished as BluOS, but Bluesound has had a lot longer to work on their OS. I think the Volumio tech people are very keen on ironing out the quirks and increasing the functionality, especially improving the search capability and the use of metadata.

Volumio is an OEM supplier of software to many streamer manufacturer brands, some which are listed here:
https://volumio.com/oem-custom-solutions/

They run Volumio software customised with their own branding and tailored for their hardware. Another brand not listed is iFi, with their Zen Stream and Neo Stream products.

Thanks for the link! That was about what I was looking for!

Actually the iFi Zen you’ve been adding looks like it could fit my needs, I’ll have a closer look

@superpizza please have a look here, iFi devices do not run official Volumio

So from Node 2i to Rivo+ is a serious upgrade? How is VolumioOS software running in comparison to BluOS which is very slow with Qobuz and a big library ? Any severe problems?

Hi Darmur,

How about SMSL N100 streamer? Does it include Volumio Premium license with it?

https://www.smsl-audio.com/portal/product/detail/id/907.html

SMSL N100 is a premium device, so it does have all the premium features unlocked.
It is a legit device with official Volumio OS running on it.

Still waiting for it to work with Roon though. Hopefully soon!

Well that’s just great! I have an original iFi Zen Stream, not the new Zen Stream 3, which firmware I just updated to V 3.00.6. after waiting months and months for it. This is a major upgrade and the new UI is to all intent and purpose the standard Volumio interface. Moreover the new UI on the Zen Stream gives one the option to sign up for a Volumio Premium subscription. I have signed up and paid for a free trial and created an Myvolumio account and that’s as far as I got. I can’t sign into Myvolumio on the iFi Zen Stream to get what I thought were the extra benefits. iFi seem to have restricted it to an iFi Nexis account login only which is thoroughly confusing. Should I cancel my free trial immediately or wait for further advice. I can access and control my iFi Zen Stream with the mobile Volumio app. but again I don’t seem to be able to login to MyVolumio account with it or if so it doesn’t recognise the new Premium subscription so I can’t check if any of the extra features work or not.

I don’t understand why there is still no real documentation or synchronicity between iFi and Volumio on this subject. It’s stupid. The Zen Stream, to all intents and purposes is obviously and now clearly running the Volumio OS and inviting users to become Volumio Premium subscribers from within the iFi device and Volumio UI. So why doesn’t it work with the subscription. This is a clear case of misrepresentation and it’s illegal.
Many thanks for any advice.

@stupendousredman please have a look to the official statement
