It is like an Allo BOSS clone so it uses the Allo BOSS device tree. Master clocked PCM5122 with two oscillators. Sounds better than the PIFI DAC+ and not much more expensive (£19). I do recommend powering it separately and not use the Raspberry 5V which is extremely noisy. You can really hear the differences. I use a TPS7A4700 Low Noise LDO Regulator (linear power supply is expensive ) to supply the DAC and it works really well since it is LDO (307 mV at 1 A) I can use that on a USB power supply and still get good enough voltage.
