DSP Plugin (Brutefir3) - MQA and DSD support?

Good evening!

Currently I’m using Volumio on a Raspberry Pi3 with a Pro-ject Pre Box S2 Digital DAC. Playback of Tidal MQA music and local DSD files works flawlessly. I like to try Digital Room Correction capabilities of the DSP Plugin (Brutefir3).

Is it possible to use Volumio with DSP plugin and MQA or DSD music files?

I never tried, but I’m pretty sure no MQA will output as MQA… and DSD will be converted to PCM

If my Volumio plays MQA music my DAC also shows, that it is playing MQA music:

Is there a loss of quality, if Volumio converts a DSD256 file to pcm?

hi balbuze…the 2aCD with the peppymeter screensaver plugin is back, maybe you two can solve the problem together so that your dsp plugin runs together with his…some people would be very happy :slight_smile:
