Does Volumio work well in kiosk mode on a Pi Zero W?

I’d like to run Volumio in kiosk mode (i.e. with the web UI displayed on the HDMI port at boot, automatically) on a Pi Zero W.

Is the Zero W enough to run Volumio? Will it run any better than on the Pi 1? I tried a Pi 1 but it was too slow to be useable.

I’m getting audio out over HDMI to my receiver. I’d like to avoid paying full price for a full RPi if I can get away with a Zero W.

If you want to use kiosk mode, i.e. the Touch Display plugin, I would recommend to use a Pi3 or higher.
