Can't access anything apart from Profile page

As soon as I go to https://myvolumio.org/ I’m immediately bumped to Volumio - The Music Player

I can’t access my library or play anything through the system.

I have a premium account, and it isn’t due to renew for another 2 months. I have 2 rpi devices, and they are both showing as active and enabled.

I’ve tried logging in and out, using a different browser, clearing cache etc but I always get dumped on the profile page with no way to access my devices.

I’ve emailed support but didn’t hear anything back.

Any idea what’s going on?

Not sure if I get what your problem is here.
If you go to https://myvolumio.org/, you can select an active device by pressing the green Play button.

If you want to access your device in your network, you would normally use it’s ip or <hostname>.local

I have the same issue. The green Play button has never worked for me. I just get a spinning logo that never connects. The .local does work.

Same here, I just posted a new thread, didn;t find this one until after.

Something is up with MyVolumio.

Sometime before today MyVolumio quit working for me. Premium subscription, just paid:

Can’t enable remote, keep on getting MyVolumio Error:

What the heck is going on? Any browser, any device, doesn’t matter. Volumio box has been rebooted. No issues locally, just MyVolumio.

Help!

I’ve cleared cookies in all browsers used, etc. Nothing helps.

So I fired the Volumio app on my phone, logged in there and activing the device for MyVolumio has seemed to stick. But, I still can;t connect via myvolumio.org, it just sits and spins like this:

Still help!

I don’t have the play buttons next to the devices - they’re missing. I just have delete.

Does anyone from Volumio read any of this stuff, or answer the support emails? This is obviously a bigger problem than just my setup…

Yes I notified them.
I know that when the date of the rPi is wrong, myVolumio won’t connect.
Please check if your date is correct.
If not:

  • log out from myVolumio on the devce
  • reboot the device
  • correct date by running: /bin/bash -c "sleep 1; /usr/bin/sudo /bin/date -s \"$(/usr/bin/curl -s --head http://google.com | grep ^Date: | sed 's/Date: //g')\""
  • login to myVolumio again.
  • And check if it worked.

It looks like the myvolumio page is not able to connect to your devices.

The only possible explanation I can think of are firewall applications blocking your device and your browser. In particular, both the webpage and the device need to be able to connect to google (we use Firebase authentication), so check if you’re not blocking these (via adblocker for example).

In the meantime we are investigating

Let us know

No rules have been changed on my firewall in years, I don’t run any ad block app or Pi Hole, or anything else. It doesn’t matter if it’s my phone connected to LTE, any of my devices in my network connected via Wi-Fi, and I just noticed this while I was at work yesterday on the company’s network, completely different than any where else I’ve been in the last 24 hours.

Can you let me know the URL or hosts that are being used for the authentication at Google? I can Wireshark a connection and see if there’s anything useful watching the packets.

Well, here’s a capture from my Volumio device, I see DNS requests to securetoken.googleapis.com starting in packet 45, which resolves correctly, and in packets 67 and 69 the Google host seems to be sending an RST back to my device. I suspect that might be an issue.

Thoughts?

Hopefully we’ll get something here. I pay the $8.50/mo specifically for this functionality. If it’s going to be problematic I’ll just go back to using Plexamp headless locally and in the car.

Does this work for anyone? I spent hours trying to figure it out, different browsers, different networks, different computers (Windows and MacOS). I even factory reset my router. Still doesn’t work.

Nothing I’ve tried has helped. This can’t possibly be an individual user issue. Literally NOTHING in my Volumio or network setup has changed in months since I started using (and paying for) MyVolumio. The number of people with very recent issues also doesn’t point to an individual issue, but a systemic issue with the service.

I hate to give up the ability to play web radios by moving back to Plexamp, but the thing has to work, and right now MyVolumio doesn’t.

Would you mind letting me know where you are located?

Can you try, if you manage, to log out and then log in again?

United States, Minnesota

Sure, I can logout and in again.

Ok, so that got me access to the UI, but now the Play Here won’t seem to activate. That button just spins.

Everything does work playing local. So I can hit MyVolumio on my phone, and control local music play, the remote Play Here redirection is the only thing not working now.

Progress!

Interesting. Thank you for reporting back.

Our support team will get back to you privately to help you on that

Yep, everything working as expect but Play Here, which results in this:

I also cleared browser cookies and all that kind of thing, no difference. However, I did have a cookie for the very long what I assume to be my player’s host name at us.myvolumio.com. That cookie never showed up previously while I’ve been messing with this.

What about the rest of us? I put in a ticket and haven’t heard from you in 5 days. What’s the fix?
