Album display information

Hi All,
This may have been raised earlier but i could not find a good solution and this problem has been bugging me since i use volumio, so here is my question:

Albums with various artists are displayed in way that the track wise artist info column says “various artist” instead of the specific artist for each track.
The same is true for albums that contain several symphonies. The specific symphony info is not shown. Here is a screenshot with an example.
I would like to see which Bruckner symphony for each track. Can i adjust this in the settings? I am using Rivo with the latest updates.
Thank you!

See herere answered last week.

Thank you so much for your response. I am using only streaming. So, i do not have albums or compilations on a server. Also, i do not see where in the Volumio software i can edit tags.
Probably missing something very obvious here. I have recently switched over from Audirvana where this was never an issue.

Ah!
I didn’t notice/realise that you were talking about streaming instead of local files.
I’m not sure if the Music Library Settings under Sources work on streamed music, but here are the settings that make Various Artists appear correctly for me.

Album and track information work only with non free Volumio.
You can try the plugin Now_playing too

He has a Rivo according to the first post, so then it should work?

Yes, unless you disable metadata in sources settings

Having difficulties understanding the percize ask.
Is Volumio showing anything less/different that the native Qobuz app?

Native Qobuz app:

Volumio:

Thank you.
Qobuz tells me to which symphony each track belongs to . I cannot see that information in Volumio (see my screenshot above).

Here is the Qobuz display of the same album

Thank you all for the setting suggestions!
Will try them out this evening.

Guess this is for @volumio to answer.

Not sure if this tag is available through the API, unless it’s “program”:

Dear @volumio, i am really suffering that i cannot see exactly which track is playing when streaming through Qobuz with my rivo (premium).

Here is an example. On this album, i have no way to tell which artist and which piece is currently playing.
Volumio on shows me a short track title (e.g. Allemande) but not which of the composers on the album it belongs to and which piece of that composer. Of course, this info is displayed on Qobuz.
Am i the only person with this problem?

Dear @volumio i would really appreciate a reply. If this cannot be solved i will have to abandon the Rivo and Volumio. I have been fiddling around with the now playing plugin, which does not load the artist information i need. I do not have the time or patience to download tokens from some where and search this forum for clues. Also, i dont understand why i have to fiddle with plugins. If volumio does not fully display Qobuz Metadata like, for instance Audirvana does, this needs to be a disclaimer when you sell your product.

Hello,
You don’t need to install a plugin to do this!
But the metadata is not extracted from Qobuz and may differ.
Depending on the album, it may not be available.
See when found :

but @DED @volumio may help

Thanks! It is not the Metadata that worries me so much. I cannot see who is playing

Here is another example. In this album you have many different artist. But you cannot see which of them is playing the current song.
No way to find out in Volumio.

can you check the version of volumio used please?
In system settings

This is what i can see

So no solution? Or is the problem still unclear?

Thank you, now we understand.

Our tech team is investigating now and planning a fix for this

Thank you! Glad it is clear now. My explanation was probably confusing. Hope you can find a solution.
