When playing 24/192 Tidal, the sound stutters. I know I need to increase the “Buffer Before Play.” I don’t have that option in the settings. What’s wrong? There’s no problem with local files.

How good is your internet?
24-bit 96.0kHz is good enough for me, you don’t always get a choice in Tidal but a lot seem to be.
I’m not sure who could hear a difference, i tested the highest on Qubuz once, and that was buffering just on the PC… not worth it at all 
I also think that 24/96 is sufficient, but if the recording is in 24/192, I want to listen to it, I pay for it and I don’t have the opportunity

Yeah mate that is more than reasonable especially if you pay for it.
Sometimes it’s good to leave Volumio out of it and keep things simple (like at my desktop-nearfield/headphone amp setup, phone, at work … There is no need for it, but I guess some would get used to it…

Have you tried streaming over USB? Using hats shouldn’t really be necessary and doesn’t coax/optical limit the streaming bandwidth?
No, I want to use RPI with HiFiBerry Digi2 Pro, it worked perfectly with Android 15 and USB Audio Player PRO, Tidal on a touchscreen device, or remotely via UPnP.
