Hello everyone!

So I’ve been using ChatGPT to create a script in Ubuntu that splits wav+cue and analyzes for HDCD or not and encodes to flac with metadata from discogs, happy to share if anyone’s interested…

Now it’s time to rip Zaireeka with Flaming lips witch is an album intended to play on 4 different cd players simultaneously. I have only one and has never heard the album the “right” way. I’m thinking of if it would be possible to make an plugin for Volumio for this album? That plays 4 cd’s/rips on top of each other with random delay each time you play it, to simulate 4 cd players on 4 stereo-systems. What do you think, would this be possible?

Volumio’s MPD (Music Player Daemon) engine is designed to play one track per output, so it can’t natively play four different tracks at the same time on a single output

Ok, thank you for your reply. Managed to get chatGPT to make a skript to merge the 4 cds with random delay simulating 4 cd-players. Will try this and see (hear) if this in an ok compromise :slight_smile: I’ve never listened to this album the way it was intended to…
