I just bought an TL-WN823N Wifi adapter (an Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8192CU 802.11n WLAN Adapter) as I want to put my Volumio box far from an ethernet RJ45 plug,
I was inspired by : wifi-and-netgear-n150-t112-10.html

So my /etc/network/interfaces looks like
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address
netmask
gateway
#allow-hotplug wlan0
auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
wpa-conf /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
and my /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf, created manualy (not generated) looks like :
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ctrl_interface_group=0
update_config=1
network={
ssid=""
psk=""
scan_ssid=1
proto=WPA
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
pairwise=TKIP
group=TKIP
id_str=“Volumio”
}
Wifi seems to work, but as soon as I unplug the Ethernet RJ45 cable, the Wifi connection doesn’t work
do you know what did I miss ?
Thank you very much for your assistance
Best Rgards,
Bart
