The question is not for the album art
For the album the “album art” is inside the repertory of each album (often named: folder.jpg) But in the list of the Artists we have an icon for each artist but and where does it come from? Is it possible to add one when there is none?

This issue is not specific to any one software package.
“Track-artist art” over-riding “Album-artist art” is not even implemented in most player software afaik.
The file format of your music will likely be a factor, some allow for the graphic to be embedded within the file.
Do some googling how open-source projects “usually” handle the issue, and maybe through experimentation will show which method if any is supported here.
Unless someone who actually knows the answer shows up in the meantime.
