…beside this, kinda geek.
For learnig guitar I soldered my own effect gears for the style I wanted play on stage.
Worked out fine, joined a band, spent much time touring around in small venues for years.
Playing lead guitar in a formation I luckily hadn’t to be in front, improvising in background was my thing. Playing all the stuff like Blues, Rock, Pop, Soul, Funk, and a little Jazz, great fun.
Diving deeper in Jazz Volumio is a great inspiration. Having a huge Jazz-Playlist on random I’m practicing with superb sound accompanied with a system that never fails, is easy to handle, and perfectly open to my madness.
A RFID-Reader makes it super-easy to have the music on my finger tips, in getting better on my instrument. A Hifi-Berry-Amp2 connected to premium vintage speakers of the late 60’s brings exactly that what it needs to play along with Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery and all these gods.
In one word, Volumio is simply fantastic for creative people.
There is just one little thing that nags me. I often pratice to me unknown songs in a huge playlist, but when the song is over and the next song starts there is no way to tell, ehm, what was the last song?
One might lough, also, me too, it’s a funny mistake in playlist behavior.
When tapping to the previous song in random mode, it’s a random song, so it’s definetly not the previous song, hehe, kinda useless.
Never mind, keep up the great work!
