Installed latest Volumio on Raspberry Pi 4. Tried to connect with Android phone and Chromebook. Could see hotspot but could not connect. Tried windows computer, could connect to network but could not find url of webui. Tried several browsers.
Tried wired connection. Device shows up on network, can ping it, but any attempt to access webif url gives a connection refused error. Tried several different machines and browsers. Disabled firewall and all security features I could find.
Noticed that even when connected to wired network, the Volumio hotspot is still active.
I had the same problem with the latest official version.
Re-flashing the SC card was also unsuccessful - exactly the same. both with the web GUI via IP address and via local… and also the app on my android smartphone. Everything exactly the same.
Reboot (Power off/on) didn’t help either.
In the app, the device is displayed, when you select it, the circle spins and doesn’t stop…
I have a test-system with the latest beta version. When I shut down this test-Volumio and also only when I unplugged it from the powersupply, my Volumio in the living room worked normally again.
Unfortunately I forgot to create the log file. I have to try if the error is reproducible.
I had a monitor on. I noticed no error messages. When booted w/o ethernet, there was a message saying the WebUI was at 192.168.211.1. When my PC connected to the volumio hotspot, it was given an address of 169.254.165.248, so it not surprising it could not see 192.168.xxx.There was nothing else visible on the network. I could see but not connect to the hotspot with an android phone. When booted with ethernet hard wired, the display said the WebUI was a valid address on my LAN. I can ping the address, but it refuses an http connection.
The display presented a login prompt, but I have no idea what the user/passwd is. Troubleshooting would be infinitely easier if I could login.
After connecting, DHCP to the hotspot failed and your PC assigned a 169.254.xxx.xxx address by default. https://www.google.com/search?q=wifi+hotspot+%22169.254%22
Your Raspberry Pi isn’t booting into a good state. I would reflash the SD card (also try a different card), but there’s a possibility of an issue with your RPi.
