Thanks!
So, changing the order of the output classes did not suffice to make the display work again?
Thanks!
So, changing the order of the output classes did not suffice to make the display work again?
unfortunately no, even with the reversed order the display does not work
OK, I will let the Touch Display plugin check for “rp1” and modify Identifier
and MatchDriver
in “99-vc4.conf” accordingly.
@Darmur are you having issues with touchscreen configuration?
I’ve tried many combination with driver parameters but no one fits with touch display output.
At the moment I’m using following driver config (with no rotation on plugin configuration):
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d-pi5
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-waveshare-panel,11_9_inch,rotation=270,swapxy=1,invy=1,invx=1
Could you please share your settings? if It’s properly working.
Thanks
I also have problems with touchscreen, it goes banana with all combination of parameters I’ve tried
I plan to test with the image from waveshare with pre-compiled drivers, but I need to find my Pi4 first… that image doesn’t work on Pi5, the kernel is too old
Spoiler: It works! During last test I run with Rpi5 and waveshare image everything works as expected (display frequency, touchscreen, rotation, etc…)
It’s a perfect description of the issue I’m facing! I’ve tried all combination for touchscreen rotation!
Pi5 with Waveshare image? which one did you use?
My bad, It was the test I made with rpi3b+.
bad news, my display does not work anymore, I can’t proceed with testing until I get a replacement
in the meanwhile, I added another comment here, explaining the problem, hopefully they will be able to help again.
@danidemo one question: did you try the touch-panel on the Pi5 only or also on the Pi3B+, after the image with patched drivers was released?
Only with Pi5. In case, I can try to run another test with Pi3b+ and new test volumio version.
I mean with Volumio, did you verify the issue with the touch-panel on Pi5, Pi3B or both?
Fixed previous message. No test with Rpi3b yet.
Ok, it you have time it would be great, because there is always the chance of problems related to the Pi5 only, due to the new HW internal architecture
Sure, I’m going to run a test.
@Darmur test completed with Pi3, display output is working fine but still same issue with touchscreen. It’s definitely an issue with drivers again.I’ve tried all combinations with swapxy, invx and invy, also specifying 0 or 1 value with no luck.
Hello all, I’m in the same situation using the 11.9" DSI screen with an RPi 4 and, after tried every solution I found in this thread, what I’m actually able to obtain is what you can see in those two screenshots:
Volumio is the latest version.
Touch Display is version 3.3.5 (the only one I was able to install without getting an installation error about chromium)
Screen and RPi are powered by two different power supply.
This is what I get if I run the RPi with the standard o.s.:
So RPi, screen and power supply seems to be ok.
Any idea about what’s wrong with my setup?
Thank you in advance.

@AngeloMM please enable test mode and do an OTA update, there is a fixed driver for this display
please be aware that touchscreen does not work yet
@Darmur Dario I really do not how to thank you, your suggestion was absolutely right the screen now works absolutely fine!!!
No problem for the touch not yet working as I can manage Volumio from the smartphone, the big problem was about the display I was almost sure that I did an absolutely wrong purchase but now is fixed thanks to you!!!
Thank you thank you thank you!!!
