H i, been using Volumio via raspberry pi4 just fine with laptop and iPhone 6 for the last couple years. Changed nothing and now when i tap on the Volumio icon the app just keeps searching for devices and can’t connect up with the pi. I can still however connect up using my laptop @volumio.local. So something wrong with the phone software or settings. Any suggestions/advice?
Is your iphone connected to the same network?
Yes, even deleted and reinstalled the Volumio app
Restarted the phone?

On your iPhone, try opening the IP address instead of “volumio.local”. You can find the IP address by opening the Volumio menu > Network on your laptop. You should see something like this:
In this case the IP address is
192.168.86.32. You should be able to enter http://192.168.86.32 into a web browser in either phone or laptop, and it should work. If it doesn’t work on the phone, your phone might not be connected on your local network.
Also try restarting your wifi router. It is the router that maps “volumio.local” to the IP address.

Check that you granted your app the permission to discover devices on your network.
It works! went to safari, put in the ip address and was able to get in. so what settings on the pi or iphone should i check?
Also try http://volumio.local in Safari on your phone. If it works, I’m at a loss about why the Volumio app wouldn’t also work. If it didn’t work, try restarting your WiFi router.
