Issue: I see that there’s here a newer version of the OS on the website, but the initial updater doesn’t work for me. When I click “Search Updates” in the web GUI it just says “You already use the newest version”. A fresh install is not an option, since I have many custom Playlists saved in the system and also have a custom configured Triggerhappy for my remote installed. I need to solve this without getting all things rebuild manually from the beginning.
Please help me find a solution for this.

Volumio 4 is out for month . There’s no way to update from Volumio 3 without a fresh install. You can use the backup plugin before doing it.
This for technical reasons that it can’t be done …
Yes, I have now read in the Volumio 4 Thread that the fresh install is required.
But are you sure that the Backup plugin in my case will work 100% regarding the Playlists?
And I still wonder how can I migrate my Triggerhappy config after the installation…?

Tried the factory rest but am still on V3.9
A factory is not a fresh install!
For a fresh install, download the last volumio image.
Flash it on SD card.
Boot your Rpi.
Here you are!
