Have anybody tried to swap the stock power supply that comes with the volumio primo hifi edition with sbooster botw?
Does give any upgrade in the sound quality at all
I can’t speak to the new Primo but I have an SBooster on my Primo Mk1.
At first I could not hear any difference, but after a while, especially with music with more ‘space’, I noticed that the speakers disappeared a bit more, and the whole thing felt a bit more wide and 3D. I don’t speak audiophile so thats the best I can do. A couple of weeks later my wife asked if I’d ‘done anything with the hifi’ because she was hearing details in some of her favourite music that she’d not heard before.
Its subtle but I’ll bet the better kit you have the more difference you hear. Mine’s midrange / budget audiophile: Audiolab 6000A → Dynaudio Emit 20 ->Eclipse subs.
