Volumio on RaspberryPi: adding a Bluetooth volume knob

Ciao everyone, I have a couple of Raspberry-based Volumio streamers (and I’m soooo happy with them), was wondering how tricky it would be to add a Bluetooth volume knob like this insanely cool one:

Thanks for your help!

I can’t comment on that Fosi device but this thread might be worth a look: Simple remote control using M5Stack Core 2 Module

Hey @mbar,

I am not sure what is that you are reporting. Have you actually tried using Volumio OS 4.073 or newer with the Bluetooth plugin from plugin store at all?

This overpriced paperweight all can do is control volume and pause/play state not to mention light on/off gimmick.

Can you post your troubleshooting steps and logs here?

How to report a problem

We need clear, complete, and specific information to help you. We do not have a crystal ball.

When reporting bugs, always include:

  • Your device model, storage type (SD, SSD, etc.), and Volumio version
  • A log link from your device (see: How to send a log link for a bug report? )
  • A clear explanation of the issue: what happened, what you expected, and how to reproduce it

If your report involves hardware, include:

  • Full identification of the device:
    • Datasheet, product page, or supplier/manufacturer link
    • Photos of the hardware (top and bottom), clearly showing PCB silkscreen markings, version numbers, and labels
  • What is connected to what, and how (USB hub, GPIO pins, power source, etc.)

Kind Regards,

Thanks - I’m still running Volumio 3.x but I was not aware of the Bluetooth plugin, I’m a wire person. Will give it a try.

You’ll find it in Volumio V4, not in V3.
