hi, is someOne have the same problem ? i don’t understand sometime volumio return to the good position in the list sometime no (return at the beginning of the list). I don’t found why. In french we say “c’est relou”. to have to make a scroll to recover the last position in my list of album…Merci pour votre aide.
I too have found this to be annoying. I can’t seem to find a pattern to when the list goes to the top or when it stays in position. I think this might be a bug.
I still have this problem. Click back arrow when in an album view and it returns to a random location in the albums list. I would like it to turn to the location I was at previously.
It sometimes does !
Anybody got any solution I would rather not have to keep scrolling through the album covers before making choice of tracks.
Thank you
Roger
Is anybody else suffering from album view returning to random position in the list after selecting a track for the queue or a playlist ?
It is very frustrating and a solution would be much appreciated.
I change for mOodeAudio …Very sorry for Volumio Teams but your free version is rather less well-off than MoodeAudio. I take a look at Volumio’s progress from time to time…
If you really have nothing to say, why bother typing a response?
Just ranting a brain fart, doesn’t help anyone.
I am still suffering from this issue but nobody else seems to be bothered and no replies - I think I even reported this as a bug but no response. Still it is only a minor frustrating issue which is starting to push me to give up and move on.
Posting this in the hope that at least the issue is acknowledged and somebody is listening to me.
HELP would be wonderful.
Roger
HI,
I am unable to reproduce this. As there are only 3 reports it doesn’t get high priority.
I’ve tested about 16 random albums (of 3500), but the it always return to the album list with the same album on the top of the list.
Hi Wheaten,
I noticed the same behaviour (I mainly browse by folders. My structur is “audio format/artist/album” with ~40k songs total) but it seems to be a time related issue as to me it only occurs when returning from a folder after waiting a couple of seconds. When I browse into a folder and return immediately it goes to the location I was previously at. If I stay at a subfolder for a certain time, e.g. looking for a specific song or adding a few to a playlist and return afterwards it ends up at the top of the list. This is indeed a bit cumbersome with a large library.
If there are any tests I could contribute with I’d gladly volunteer.
Not saying it doesn’t happen, only that I can’t reproduce the error:
Opened Unplugged 1991 - 2001
Waited for a couple of minutes (7):
Thank you for at least looking at and acknowledging my post, it is appreciated.
It happens when I add a song to the play queue and then go back to the album covers view. It happens most often if I don’t scroll back to the top of the tracks list. I can get this to happen on the app (both Android and iOS) and on a web browser. Will check if it happens when using the touch screen I have attached to my Pi4.
If I don’t scroll to top of tracks listing after adding a track to the queue (or a playlist) it goes back to the top of the album list.
It does not matter which album view I use.
Let me know if I can change anything to test things out or provide other information.
Thank you
Roger
Trust me everyone’s post is appreciated, positive and negative as long as it’s respectful, and we try to cover them all.
You gave very detailed steps to reproduce the behavior and I can confirm this is happening.
@ded, @Marco_Melziade
Hi can you take a look and see if there is an easy fix?
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to album view
- Select a random album after a few pages down
- Add a track to the queue
- Use the white back arrow
- Volumio moves back to the top of the album list
With a very small libary it’s not a big thing, but with a big album list it hurt your scrolling finger.
Thank you all for the report!
Highlighted it on our internal bug tracker and it will be addressed according to our priority schedule.
Best regards,
Davide
