volumio failed to open alsa device plugable usb audio

Volumio was running great for over a year with my plugable usb adapter. Overnight, I got the message: volumio failed to open alsa device.

I did this: “Please disable i2s dac, reboot, enable i2s dac again”. Now, I can’t figure out which device use in the options.

I’m using this: plugable.com/products/usb-audio

It uses the SSS1629 chip.

Disable i2s (yours is usb). Reboot, then go to playback option and select your USB DAC again
